Nomination Changes Effective at our July 19, 2023 Meeting

At our April meeting we had a discussion about new members who join, nominate, win, and then disappear.  This has happened more recently and while not frequent, it was enough for us to ask members for input.  Thanks for all the suggestions.  The following will be in effect on July 19:

  • There has always been a requirement that new members commit to one year’s worth of quarterly donations.  This will not change.
  • New members will be able to vote on awards at their first 3 meetings.  They will be eligible to nominate a non-profit on their 4th meeting.

Our October 2023 donations were awarded to Heart Space Kids.

Our mission at Heartspace Kids is to support the healthy social, emotional, and academic development of children, teens, and young adults through counseling and education.

Our vision at Heartspace Kids is that all kids and their families will have access to high-quality mental health services and educational resources at a cost they can afford.
